Why I'm committed to helping
I have been coaching for nearly a decade in the fitness industry - helping 100s of women along the way. It really started from a young age, having such a strong circle of female friends and family constantly around me. It was because of this I really started to notice the negative effect diet culture was having on the people I loved the most.
From fads like "no carbs after 6pm", overly restrictive diets, excessive use of the bathroom scales and maybe even the worst one - family members who thought it was ok to comment on your weight.
Combined with conditions like endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome effecting, more closely, my sister and my partner. I really began to see how badly women were treated, rapidly losing faith in a system I thought was designed to help us.
It was wrong, it wasn't fair, and I could see the mental and emotional toll that was having on them.
I've done everything we can in the last 10 years to give women back control and, maybe most importantly, their freedom when it comes to their fitness, nutrition and health. By helping them finally create behaviours and habits around exercise, nutrition and mindset that's allowed for them to break free from a system that was created to always have you following a "diet".
Now it's time to meet Becca, the epitome of an "all or nothing" mindset when it came to her weight loss, exercise and nutrition. Becca was always under the impression that unless she was at the gym 4/5 times a week, busting her ass for 2 hours at a time, that it wasn't going to work.
Combine this with the fact that Becca suffers from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) it meant that she was constantly in pain, her periods were inconsistent, unbearable when they came and contributed to a really poor quality of life for her.
Becca is now a stone down and feels the healthiest she has ever felt. The energy she has for life is unmatched and she finally has a consistent period (yes, we celebrate that here!)
