Text2Cards turns your notes and documents into study cards without rewriting your content or sending it to an online service.
The app uses deterministic, on-device processing to identify sections, sentences, lists, tables and useful sentence splits. Cards preserve the original wording, making every import repeatable and suitable for exam preparation, interviews, language learning and personal reference material.
Import study material from PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CSV, Markdown and plain-text files. You can import the entire document or select only the chapters and sections you need.
Study using four modes:
• Matching warm-up: choose either the ending that completes a sentence or the start that leads to an ending.
• Recall-first: see the start, recall the ending, reveal it and record whether you knew it.
• Recall-second: see the ending and recall the start that leads to it.
• Recite in order: review every card in its original document order.
Create quick study rounds or configure a study plan with your preferred frequency, duration, round size and optional reminders. Text2Cards tracks the cards you have seen, answers that were correct on the first attempt and your streak of rounds completed on time. Material that needs more practice is prioritised in future rounds.
You can also:
• Edit or delete cards and study sets.
• Reorder study sets by dragging them into your preferred order.
• Add custom rules that automatically reapply your corrections during future imports.
• Display helpful context from nearby cards in the original document order.
• Import and export study sets.
• Choose from multiple colour themes.
• Use the interface in 16 languages.
A guided tutorial and sample study set help you learn the main features when you first open the app.
Text2Cards is designed for private, offline study. Everything runs on your device without AI, so the same document always produces the same cards and your study material retains the words you provided.
