Running into issues logging into Spoke or Slack?
Here are some common issues you may encounter and easy fixes. If you are still having trouble, let us know in the #texting channel and tag @onboarders in your message.
Are you seeing a message that says "You currently aren't part of any organization!" after you login into Spoke? No worries!
TO FIX:
Try one of these two steps!
Refresh the page
OR
Click on the Spoke link again: https://ppls.ac/spokepa
Are you seeing an error that says "Something went wrong when authorizing this app" after you created your Slack account and are trying to log in to Spoke,? This means that Spoke is trying to authorize your login using a different Slack workspace that you belong to than ours.
TO FIX:
Edit the URL so that it says peoplesactionnetwork.slack.com (this is our workspace URL) prior to the rest of the web address. Based on your prior use of Slack for other organizations, it may be trying to authorize using a different workspace URL. For example, you may see something like "https://peoplesparity-eci9416.slack.com/oauth?..." instead of "https://peoplesactionnetwork.slack.com/oauth?...". When you make the edit, make sure to leave the rest of the URL after peoplesactionnetwork.slack.com unchanged!
Hit Enter with the update made and it should advance you to the next step in the login process.
Now that you are logged into Spoke and Slack, are you receiving an error that says "Graph QL Error: Cannot read property 'request_status' of undefined." when you click a short link to Spoke (ex. https://ppls.ac/spokepa) ? This means you have received the wrong texting link!
TO FIX:
Ask the person that gave you the texting link to send you the proper short link for the campaign. If you still receive this error, post a message in the #texting channel and include the @backendbunch tag.
Are you seeing an error that says “You are not authorized to install Spoke Rewired on People’s Action Network” when you try to join Spoke? This means you may have been registered in Slack as a Single-Channel Guest instead of a Full Channel Member.
TO FIX:
Post a message in the #texting channel, include the @backendbunch tag, and ask that a Slack Workspace Administrator check that your account type is set to Full Channel Member. They will notify you when the settings have been updated, then you can once again try to create your Spoke account!
