In this area you will define the basic context by specifyng a seat at the table, the stack, the #players at the start of the hand (not in the table structure) and the level stage of the game (for tourneys only).
These criteria will restrict the set of hands on which you want to focus.
It also contains a mini toolbar that gives access to the hands histories import, a range comparator and the online help.
Using the sliders
Always use the slider thumb to change the value. A mouse-click on the horizontal rail gives unpredictable result.
There is a special case with the 4-max table configuration.
It often happens that, on some hands, there is no small blind (but there is always a big blind). In this case, the 4 players are not button, small blind, bing blind and cutoff but button, big blind, utg (or high jack) and cutoff.
This is the reason why the 4-max table displays 5 seats and not 4.
Behaviour
There are 2 ways to specify a context (set of hands to be analyzed).
Way1: Through the "Control zone " widgets, by setting-up: stack, seat and #players
Way2: Through the variables' view, by selecting a state (histogram) to setup a type of action, street, position, etc.
Those 2 layers cumulate but, in the update process, they are applied one after the other.
The system will try to keep any pre-existing Way2 setup when a change in "Control zone" happens (Way1).
Example: If the first action is set to "check", this setting will be kept if you change the #players or the seat in the Control zone.
"Not enough data to generate the view"
Way1 actions have for effect to narrow or widen the set of hands being explored.
It may happen that this set becomes empty.
In this case this message will be displayed and no view will be generated.
In another case, the Way1 actions will yield a non-empty set of hands but re-applying the pre-existing Way2 setup will lead to this message.
The Way1 setup will be kept but all Way2 setup will be abandoned so that the user can still see a correct view and continue exploring.
