Work Hour

The Work Hour is intended to break down barriers between those who work with their minds and those who work with their hands. In the eyes of God we are all the same. It is also a Christian witness to perform works of service for our neighbors. Over the next four days you should do something to improve your neighborhood, make someone's life easier, or encourage those around you. Send us some pictures and we'll post them!

Here are some examples to get your thinking started:

  • Mow an elderly person's yard

  • Grocery shop for someone who can't get out

  • Visit a resident of a nursing home through the glass window

  • Children might write encouraging messages on the sidewalk with colored chalk

  • Pick up trash along the street or in your local park
