Welcome, visitors, to day 4 of your tour of the beauties of Hong Kong.  Here at Team Cassie Adventures, we are dedicated to giving you the best experience of visiting our beautiful land. Accounting for the summer heat, today you will journey into the depths of the breathtaking Lantau Island. Being the hottest day on your tour guide, you will be visiting Hong Kong Disneyland's beautiful adventure-themed waterpark, Tesoro Cove...

Before you begin your adventure to the mysteries of Lantau Island, it is best to have you acquainted with the magical Tesoro Cove. According to our recent investigation blog. Tesoro Cove opened in May 2016 with large crowds, due to the already warm weather in
Hong Kong. It was designed as a counter-effective to Shanghai Disneyland in order to balance out the tourism population for both parks. Tesoro Cove is quite isolated from the rest of the resort. It is located on the south side of HKDL's expansion pad for a 2nd park (announced by Disney to open in 2025), near the parking garage and small cove. According to the Disney website, this is Tesoro's backstory:

"Welcome to Isla de Tesoro, Treasure Island. This island is a paradise in the depths of the Caribbean, located at the center of the Bermuda Triangle, and the recovered fortress of the pirate Blackfang. This infamous pirate was a defected member of S.E.A., who wanted to separate from their ideals in search of fame and fortune (other unknown reasons are undisclosed by the society). In 1720-1730, he was reported to have stolen an armory of S.E.A. equipment, becoming the captain of the one-manned ship, Oudeis, greek for "no one". He plundered the Caribbean, gaining enemies and friendships (with the crew of Jack Sparrow). After a spy from S.E.A. reported the pirate's intentions on using the stolen equipment for mass city destruction, they began a chase on the pirate, in order to bring order and recollect the stolen equipment. After several long years of tag, the pirate (whose ship joined the numbers of an acquaintance of Jack Sparrow's) found themselves in the storm of the Bermuda Triangle. After getting away from S.E.A., they landed on the Isla de Tesoro and used all the broken-down ships that had washed up on this paradise and their own ships to build (and colonize) the greatest and most imposing sea fortress in all the century. 3 centuries later and separated from the known world, the pirates began to look upon righteousness on the island,  which unexpectedly meant the search for knowledge and peace. The Isla de Tesoro is now a harbor with ingenious craftsmanship and balance with the island itself (due to the arrival of S.E.A.). but not without the dark secrets of its ancient past. With this abundance of knowledge, the barrier of the Bermuda Triangle from the island and the rest of the world has been broken; and now, guests can visit this famed island for themselves..."
