Students and school personnel shall be accountable for textbooks, media materials and all other instructional materials and equipment purchased with public school funds. The procedures for accountability are as follows:

• Lost library books: hardbound books - $15.00 or replacement cost.

• Hard bound paperback books (Turtleback, Econoclad, etc.) - $8.00 or replacement cost.

• Paperback books - $7.50 or replacement cost.

• Reference and more valuable materials-replacement cost.

• Magazines – replacement cost.

• Students shall pay replacement cost for lost textbooks.

Until monetary or other suitable compensation for lost, damaged, or stolen books, magazines or other media materials is paid, the student responsible shall be denied the privilege of checking out materials from the media center.
