You are correct, there isn't a setting in the printer driver for labels. Canon does not make label paper and only Canon papers are listed in this drop down box. The manufacturer of the paper should be able to provide you with their recommended printer settings to print on their paper. For example, Avery provides settings and templates for all of their label papers. If you are using Avery paper, please use the following link:

I was unable to see the answer to the question hasander asked on the Avery webpage link you included. When I contacted Avery's chat support and asked what media type I should use on my Canon ink jet printer to print 8161 Avery labels, I was told 'Ask Canon what it recommends for cardstock'. Do you have such a recommendation? Thanks.

Change your paper settings to matte photo paper. I was trying to print labels using the Avery Templates and kept getting error messages from my Canon MX470 about paper size and alignment. It then occured to me that the label paper was probably the thickness of photo paper. Why doesn't Canon offer an option for label paper or cardstock?

I had problems with this too, with my MG 2920, but then I just printed using Chrome (instead of Firefox or Adobe), and this worked more or less. When you print a pdf in Chrome, you don't really have any of the printer options (you just need to unselect fit to page)

I was having this same problem with the MG5520. No matter what I changed media type from Word software or on printer LCD screen: letter, photo, matte, labels, crocodile leather, etc, it will not print labels and kept saying it wasn't "Letter" on the printer LCD screen. I went into Setup>Device Settings>Print Settings on the printer LCD screen and disabled "Detect Paper Width" and BAM, it works. Hope this helps someone down the road.

Beverages build a big market segment for label printing. It includes water, juices and other non-alcoholic beverages. Increasingly fragmented target groups trigger more and more product variations are driving the trend towards versioning and individualization for regional campaigns and sales activities.

My question is: when using Photoshop Elements 2020 with the CanonTS702 to write a label design directly to printable CD, what should be the CANVAS size which contains the label image? 4.72" x 4.72" or something else?

The Canon instructional video for printing directly to CD is very helpful, but it could use a coupleof tweaks. It should warn you to make sure the output tray is NOT pushed in all the way before you hit Print. It hould be about flush with the front surface of the printer. The TS702 wants to prompt you to do that. If the tray is already pushed in, the printer gets all ypset and tells you to pull it out again. And if you want to print to more than one CD you need to pull the output tray out again, to the flush position. In general the video should mention the screen prompts the user will see.

The printer employs pigment-based inks to ensure excellent durability and long-lasting results. Pigment inks are resistant to running, smudging or fading when used with inkjet-compatible media. This color label printer can boost productivity and help businesses reduce costs, as on-demand printing eliminates the need for preprinted labels and outsourcing production.

With the launch of the LX-P5510, Canon now provides both pigment and dye versions of 4-inch and 2-inch label printing products, supporting various applications best suited for one technology over the other.

Companies requiring warning labels on hazardous chemical containers to comply with standards like the globally harmonized system of classification and labeling of chemicals (GHS) can utilize the LX-P5510 label printer.

Bakeries, breweries, wineries and other food and beverage manufacturers can greatly benefit from the LX-P5510 label printer. Businesses can eliminate preprinted labels for their packaging and easily make design changes in-house on short notice. The color labels printed on the LX-P5510 can visually attract in-aisle shoppers and convey branding, nutritional information, size, flavor type, potential allergies and warnings.

Healthcare companies, including medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical producers and pharmacies, can take advantage of the LX-P5510 label printer's strengths. The printer's versatility is particularly suited for labels requiring accurate and vibrant production of unique data components, such as pictures, small but readable text and color-coded shades.
