The Terror Twister 2 Design Team is the team of light show designers and software developers that make Terror Twister 2 possible. The Design Team chooses the ride soundtrack, programs the light shows, and even designs and programs the hardware and software to communicate with the ride's safety system. Of course, the Design Team is supported by tons of great people that work for Six Flags Great America as well! We welcome your feedback - Contacts Us via the link at the bottom of the page!
Mark has previously worked in a management role at Six Flags Great America for 25 years (starting the year the Viper opened, in 1995). During that time, Mark has "adopted" the Chubasco ride conversion for the holidays with his passion for lighting and "maker culture". Mark first upgraded Terror Twister in 2009 to use LED lighting (with lots of help from park staff) to provide more intricate light show synchronization (That's where the "2" in Terror Twister 2 comes from). Mark again upgraded Terror Twister 2 in 2017 to use high-powered LED lighting and more advanced lighting software. Mark is still leading the Design Team to this day because he loves it so much (and he needs to get out of the house because he permanently works from home for his day job). Fun Fact: Mark once placed his hand upon the casing of an operating nuclear reactor. He believes the residual radiation exposure likely still provides some creative inspiration today!

Josh has been a part of the team since 2017, creating several phyco-sonic cycles for Terror Twister 2 over the years. Starting out from being an avid fanboy of teacups and hard rave music to being on the Terror Twister 2 Design Team is one of his greatest accomplishments. He has also designed specialized software that allows the TT2 Design Team to program virtually and remotely before testing cycles on the real ride. Fun Fact: Josh has a full-time day job working for one of the world's biggest roller coaster/ride manufacturers!
Current Terror Twister 2 Cycles Josh Has Designed:
"My Invisible Friend" (2022)
"Put A Spell On You" (2024)
"Feeling Good?" (2025)
"El Toro" (2025)
Jack is a college student from Chicago, IL, making him the youngest member of the Terror Twister 2 design team! Joining the team in 2021 after being a fan of the ride for years. His debut cycle, "I Wanna See You Up," was his first of many! Jack has since designed many ride experiences for both Peppermint Swirl and Terror Twister 2! Jack would like to thank the rest of the Terror Twister 2 design team for inviting him to be a part of this unique project! Fun Fact: Jack is an avid aviation expert currently studying Aviation Flight Science, and is the fastest light show programmer in the (South)West (Territory)... pew pew pew! Jack really likes airplanes and French Fries, and being fed French Fries in an Airplaine-like manner.
Current Terror Twister 2 Cycles Jack Has Designed:
"Crazy Never Dies" (2022)
"Beethoven Is Dead" (2022)
"Go To Hell Annabelle" (2023)

Jackson is the newest member of the design team, having passed his onsite interview with flying colors. Jackson first contacted the team back in 2022 using the link below, with questions and suggestions. After the team determined he wasn't that weird and had the tech skillz needed to create a light show, we invited him on site in 2024 to program his first cycle. It took a while to bring him on board after discovering he dresses up as a weird psychotic baby at his family's long-running haunted house in northern Wisconsin. We're still not convinced he's totally sane, but that's ok, he is doing great so far!
Current Terror Twister 2 Cycles Jackson Has Designed:
"The Brain" (2025)
"I Am Your Demon" (2025)
"Controlando" (2025)
"Chubasco: A Violent Squall" [Co-Designed with Mark Z] (2025)
