I have been practicing as a board-certified anesthesiologist for nearly 25 years, with the last two decades spent serving at the Dallas VA Medical Center. In 2014, my commitment to patient care led me to a new path when I was selected for the Medical Acupuncture program at the Helms Medical Institute—a program designed specifically for Western physicians. For the past decade, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to run an acupuncture clinic that was eventually integrated into the Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program, an approach that combines multiple disciplines to treat pain and pain-related conditions.
What started as a way to help our veterans manage pain grew into something much more profound. I saw firsthand how acupuncture could transform lives—not just by easing physical pain, but by helping patients improve their sleep, restore hormonal balance, and boost their overall vitality. To deepen my knowledge, I pursued additional training at Helms, focusing on Medical Acupuncture in Primary Care. This allowed me to expand my reach beyond pain management using acupuncture to help patients with respiratory, digestive, and hormonal problems.
Over the years, many veterans asked me the same question: “Do you practice anywhere else? I want to continue acupuncture beyond the VA.” Their encouragement and the clear need for this integrated approach to healing inspired me to start my own practice. Today, I am excited to bring that same passion to the wider community. By blending decades of Western medical expertise with the holistic depth of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I am dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.
I look forward to helping you find your balance again.
