Campus OS ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Campus Intel mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
By using Campus OS, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
When you create an account or use the App, we collect:
Email Address: Collected when you sign in with Apple or Google
Name: Provided through Apple/Google Sign-In
School/University: You select your school during onboarding
Year/Grade Level: Optional information you provide in your profile
Profile Information: Any additional information you choose to add to your profile
We collect content you create or submit:
Hacks/Tips: Student recommendations and tips you submit
Questions: Questions you post in the Q&A forum
Answers: Responses you provide to other students' questions
Saved Items: Hacks, events, and itineraries you bookmark
Vouches: Your verification of other users' hacks
Search Queries: What you search for in the App
AI Itineraries: Day plans you generate using our AI features
With your permission, we collect:
Precise Location: GPS coordinates when you enable location services
Approximate Location: City/region based on IP address
Location History: Past locations to provide location-based recommendations
You can control location permissions in your device settings.
We automatically collect:
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
App Usage Data: Features you use, time spent in the App, screens viewed
Interaction Data: Buttons clicked, searches performed, content viewed
Performance Data: App crashes, errors, loading times
Log Data: IP address, access times, browser type, pages visited

Your reputation rank and badges
Your vouch history (which hacks you've verified)

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.
Hacks, questions, and answers remain on the platform even after you delete your account (to maintain community value)
You can request deletion of your specific content by contacting us
When you delete your account:
Your personal information is deleted within 30 days
Your submitted content may remain but will be anonymized
Backup copies are deleted within 90 days
We may retain certain information if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (fraud prevention, legal disputes).
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information:
Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Encryption of data at rest
Regular security audits
Access controls and authentication
Secure cloud infrastructure
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

Using a strong password
Not sharing your account access

Campus Intel is intended for college students aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.
If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country.
By using Campus Intel, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we operate.
The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, or apps that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by:
Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top
Sending a notification for material changes
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals because there is no industry standard for how to handle them.
