The Audience
This training is designed for certified CrossFit trainers seeking recertification. The course serves a wide range of fitness professionals, from part-time coaches to full-time gym owners, who require a flexible and engaging solution to update their knowledge and coaching skills while meeting recertification requirements.
The Business Problem
CrossFit professionals often juggle demanding schedules and varied commitments, making it difficult to attend in-person workshops or lengthy seminars. The organization needed a scalable, online solution to provide consistent, high-quality training that ensures trainers remain current in methodology, programming, and safety standards while accommodating their time constraints.
The Solution
I developed an interactive, self-paced e-Learning course that blends foundational theory with real-world coaching applications. The course is broken into modules focused on CrossFit principles, programming design, safety protocols, and coaching best practices. It features diverse content formats—videos, knowledge checks, and discussion forums—to foster deeper understanding and active engagement. The course also includes built-in assessments and feedback loops to help learners reflect and improve their performance in real time.
Sample Highlights
Adult Learning Principles: Content is chunked into short, relevant modules to support autonomy, practical application, and self-directed learning.
Interactive Elements: Engaging scenario-based questions, quizzes, and multimedia elements such as coaching demo videos and programming breakdowns.
Collaboration Tools: Discussion forums encourage peer interaction and community learning among trainers.
Flexible Learning: The course is accessible anytime, anywhere, enabling learners to progress at their own pace without compromising their professional responsibilities.
The Process
This course began with a thorough analysis of learner needs and organizational goals, informed by conversations with current CrossFit trainers and key stakeholders. From there, I mapped out clear learning objectives and a modular structure designed to maximize engagement and retention. The content was developed with a strong focus on real-world application, using coaching demos, safety scenarios, and interactive knowledge checks to bring key concepts to life.
Once developed, the course was launched through the organization's LMS, ensuring easy access for trainers regardless of location or schedule. I also built in multiple evaluation methods to gauge effectiveness, including embedded quizzes for immediate feedback and a follow-up survey to measure behavior change and long-term impact on coaching practices.

Lessons Learned
One key takeaway was the importance of balancing flexibility with accountability. In future iterations, I would incorporate optional live check-ins or coaching circles to support learners who benefit from scheduled interaction while maintaining the self-paced format.

The Audience
This course is designed for tortoise owners, caretakers, and reptile enthusiasts seeking to improve or build species-appropriate enclosures for their pets. Whether they’re first-time tortoise owners or experienced reptile keepers, learners will find practical guidance grounded in animal welfare best practices.
The Business Problem
Many tortoise owners unintentionally provide inadequate living environments due to a lack of accessible, accurate information about habitat requirements, climate control, lighting, and safety. This often leads to preventable health issues and reduced quality of life for the animal. The goal was to create an easy-to-follow yet comprehensive training that empowers owners with the skills to design and maintain safe, enriching, and healthy enclosures.
The Solution
I developed a user-friendly eLearning course that guides learners step-by-step through the process of selecting, setting up, and maintaining both indoor and outdoor tortoise enclosures. The course is structured around essential environmental needs, including lighting, temperature, humidity, and safety—emphasizing species-specific considerations. Practical tips, expert recommendations, and visual examples ensure learners feel confident in applying their knowledge right away.
Sample Highlights
Real-World Application: Lessons are rooted in animal care science and provide actionable takeaways for a wide range of species and climates.
Engaging Content: Visual diagrams, habitat walkthroughs, and expert video clips make complex concepts approachable.
Interactive Features: Drag-and-drop layout activities, reflection prompts, and quick quizzes reinforce learning and keep users engaged.
Designed for All Levels: Content is approachable for beginners but detailed enough to provide value to more experienced reptile keepers.
The Process
I began by researching species-specific habitat requirements, consulting with animal care experts, and reviewing veterinary guidelines to ensure accuracy. I then developed a clear course outline focused on logical sequencing and learner-friendly language. The course was built using a modular structure, making it easy for users to navigate at their own pace. Throughout development, I incorporated interactive elements and self-checks to help reinforce key concepts. To assess learning outcomes, I included short knowledge checks and a final self-assessment. I also designed a follow-up evaluation plan to measure behavior changes in enclosure setup post-training.

Lessons Learned
This project highlighted the importance of balancing depth of content with learner accessibility. In future iterations, I’d consider incorporating optional deep-dive modules for advanced learners, as well as a printable care checklist to support ongoing enclosure maintenance.
