I am a Chief Research Scientist at ETLA Economic Research and Research Director at Yrjö Jahnsson Foundation, Helsinki. I am also a Research Fellow of the IZA Institute of Labor Economics and Adjunct Professor at University of Jyväskylä. I have PhD in economics from University of Jyväskylä (2013).

My research covers a wide range of topics within labor and health economics, as well as within international trade and sustainability. My current work concentrates on estimating the causal effects of job loss on debt problems and the use of opioids. I also study the effects of export demand shock on firm's economic and environmental performance.
