The figure next to them is the cadastral value of each asset
Each lot here is worth 387.000€, representing 50% of the total cadastral value.
In this case, each person views the assets differently. For example, one sees the car as worth 12.000€, while the other sees it as worth 8.000€
In this table, the figures in the row of the person in orange represent the value that this person gives to the lot in each column.
In this example, even though both lots have the same cadastral value, the person that gets the lot in the left will be upset for receiving less than what they considered to be half of the value of the inheritance.
In our example, the software found a better solution. The person in orange gets assets worth 512.042€ to him, which is 21.042€ more than what he thought half the inheritance was worth. Similarly, the person in blue gets assets worth 509.958€ to him, which is 20.957€ more than his idea of half.
Both end up with more than they expected, making both parties happy!
