About the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit
To you, our friend and fellow disciple of Christ: peace be with you!
We are the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit. Founded on Christmas Day 1914 at the peak of the persecution in Mexico City, we have received a special calling from God. The sins of his priests are what hurt the heart of Jesus the most, so we are called to console his heart by being close to him and working to help priests be closer to him too through spiritual direction, accompaniment, retreats, and seminary formation. We live the Spirituality of the Cross, a spirituality that emphasizes our baptismal priesthood in which we offer our lives in union with Jesus, giving greater meaning to our sufferings and joys. It's about making our lives a gift for others. Just as our way of life moves us to be close to God, we too are close to God's people in union with him.
Please know that we walk with you. For us, family is incredibly important. In fact, we belong to a wider spiritual family that is made up of over 15 different religious institutions for consecrated men and women, diocesan priests, and especially the laity. We consider you to be part of our family and we hope that you can feel the same about us. Somos los Misioneros del Espíritu Santo. Fundados el día de Navidad de 1914, en plena persecución en la Ciudad de México, hemos recibido una llamada especial de Dios. Los pecados de sus sacerdotes son lo que más hieren el corazón de Jesús, por eso nosotros estamos llamados a consolar su corazón estando cerca de él y trabajando para ayudar a los sacerdotes a estar también más cerca de él a través de la dirección espiritual, el acompañamiento, los retiros y la formación en los seminarios. Vivimos la Espiritualidad de la Cruz, una espiritualidad que enfatiza nuestro sacerdocio bautismal en el que ofrecemos nuestras vidas en unión con Jesús, dando un mayor significado a nuestros sufrimientos y alegrías. Se trata de hacer de nuestras vidas un regalo para los demás. Así como nuestra forma de vida nos mueve a estar cerca de Dios, también estamos cerca del pueblo de Dios en unión con él.

About the St. Joseph Theologate Community
About the St. Joseph Theologate Community
In the United States, we are few, but we are working hard to make ends meet and continue the mission we have received. The St. Joseph Theologate Community in San Antonio, Texas is a formation community where our brothers go to study theology in the United States.
The theologate community in San Antonio initially opened in 2017. In 2021, The community closed due to lack of vocations, but reopened again in 2023 for the formation of two of our students who were ready to begin their theology studies. Currently, the community is active with three students and we have relocated to the rectory of St. Luke's Catholic Church in San Antonio.
We appreciate your generosity and especially your prayers. Right now, we have only a handful of brothers studying theology here. Please, pray for more vocations. As the theologate, it is the last stage before our brothers profess their perpetual vows and receive their ordination to the diaconate and priesthood.Our monthly newsletter, Joseph's Newsletter, is our main source of income throughout the year. It is free to be on our mailing list for our monthly newsletter, you can even write to us and send us your petitions to pray for you and with you. However, any donations made to us through our newsletter and website go to cover the living costs of our students..

Acerca de la comunidad del Teologado San José
En EE. UU somos pocos, pero trabajamos duro para salir adelante y continuar la misión que nos han encomendado. La comunidad del Teologado San José en San Antonio, Texas, es una comunidad de formación donde nuestros hermanos vienen a estudiar teología en EE. UU.
La comunidad del teologado de San Antonio se inauguró inicialmente en 2017. En 2021, la comunidad se cerró debido a la falta de vocaciones, pero volvió a abrir en 2023 para la formación de dos de nuestros estudiantes que estaban listos para comenzar sus estudios de teología. Actualmente, la comunidad está activa con tres estudiantes y nos hemos trasladado a la rectoría de la parroquia de San Lucas en San Antonio.
Agradecemos su generosidad y, sobre todo, sus oraciones. En este momento, solo contamos con un pequeño grupo de hermanos estudiando teología aquí. Por favor, recen por más vocaciones. El teologado es la última etapa antes de que nuestros hermanos profesen sus votos perpetuos y reciban la ordenación diaconal y sacerdotal.
