Our Mission:
Tennessee Student Union (TNSU) is a youth-led and youth-powered grassroots organization. This structure of by the students, for the students, gives all students within Tennessee schools a proper platform to fight for what we need and deserve. Focusing on fighting for an equitable and proper educational environment for all, we strive to build a platform to connect intersectional student groups to organize around issues that matter to the community. Through this structure, we take direct action in fighting for equity, justice, and proper educational environments — which benefits students and teachers alike.

Who We Are
TNSU is an organization by the students for the students of Tennessee. We strive to establish a platform where all students across Tennessee can voice their experiences, concerns, and needs. While our membership is comprised of exclusively Tennessee students, we work with adults and stand in solidarity with school staff. Furthermore, we stand in interstate student solidarity, as the issues we face are not exclusive to Tennessee.

Our Work
TNSU prioritizes a collective focus on building and sustaining Tennessee students. Through this, we prioritize direct action in the form of mutual aid, uniting diverse communities, and electoral work to further emphasis to our demands. We have, recently, published a know your rights toolkit, an example of some of the work we wish to continue and eventually build upon with the numerous projects currently in the works.
