Our belief is that, through a student union, we can establish a collective platform for students to voice our needs and concerns. Through unionizing, we can fight for better schools, freedom of education, student-focused schooling environments, and much more that directly pertains to students' daily lives.

We believe that unified student power will result in a better world. We are fighting to improve our socioeconomic and learning conditions within schools. However, we are also fighting for a better world to enter into once we become adults. Our beliefs of rehabilitation, equality, equity, and justice are rooted within our recognition of the failures of society in its current position through our experiences. We hold these views because we seek to, pragmatically, establish a better society for our future.

We strive to represent all Tennessee grade-level students. However, we stand in solidarity with our educators as they play a vital role in our education and educational environments.

Tennessee Student Union membership is restricted to Tennessee grade-level students. If you are a Tennessee grade-level student and attend a school without TNSU presense, please contact us. Additionally, if you are a grade-level student from outside of Tennessee, please do not hesitate to contact us if you're looking for unionization help.

We do not require membership dues, considering students do not receive an income from schooling. Instead of membership dues, we would rely upon donations* from the public, youth and adults alike, once we begin mutual aid programs. (*coming soon)

Despite TNSU membership being restricted to Tennessee grade-level students, there are a number of ways adults can act as support or allies to the Union. Donations* to the Union are extremely valuable, as they help us function and maintain our community programs*. Beyond that,  participating in volunteer opportunities, boosting the union, its events, and our programs* via social media or elsewhere is a substantial help as well. Helping to spread awareness of student organizing, within Tennessee and beyond, is paramount to building a better society for us and our future generations. (*coming soon)

We are always open to potential partnerships with community organizations. We strive to take part in building a proper coalition between youth & adults, whenever possible, for progress.
