To download your PDF with the Canva link, please follow these steps:
1️⃣ Log into your Etsy account.
(If you are using your phone, please make sure to log in through a web browser. The download button does not appear in the Etsy app.)
2️⃣ Click on “Your account” (top right corner).
3️⃣ Go to “Purchases and reviews.”
4️⃣ Find your order and click “Download Files.”
5️⃣ Open the PDF and click on the Canva link inside to start editing.
You should also receive an email from Etsy with the download link. Please don’t forget to check your spam or junk folder just in case.
If needed, I can also send the PDF directly to your email. Just share your email address with me, and I’ll gladly take care of it for you.
To help you find your order, please send me one of the following:
• Your order number
• The email address used for the purchase
• The name used when placing the order
Once I have this information, I will gladly search for your order.
If your payment was successfully received, I will resend the PDF with the editable links to your email.
Please make sure to provide your correct email address.
Please note that with the PDF you received, all editable links are available on the first page.
Simply open the PDF and click on the Canva link to access your template.
You will also find the RSVP template link there — please open it and make a copy in your own Google Form to start editing.
The tutorial pages are placed right after the first page and explain step-by-step how to edit everything.
To create this invitation, you will need to edit two templates:
• Your RSVP Google Form
• Your Canva website invitation
All links can be found on the first page of the PDF you received with your purchase.
• First, open the PDF and click the link to edit your Google Form with your own text and event details.
If you would like to change the photo, you can use the mockups provided in the PDF and upload them to your Google Form.
• Next, click the Canva link in your PDF to start editing your invitation.
Edit all text, add your photos, link your RSVP form to your Canva invitation, and add any additional links (Google Maps, registry, music, etc.).
• When everything is ready, publish your invitation as a website, as this is the only format that supports fully interactive and clickable features.

To change the countdown in your template, you first need to clone the existing countdown element included in your template, then update it with the date of your event.
You can refer to the written tutorial included with your order, or watch the short video tutorial below:

If your template does not include a countdown timer, you can create one for free using this website and then add it to your Canva template : click here
How do I add Amazon / Target / Registry links?
You can add one single registry link, or if you have multiple registries, you can add as many as you wish.
You can easily add Amazon, Target, Baby Registry, Wedding Registry, or any external website link to your digital invitation website template.
⚠️ Please note: Clickable links are not supported in video format invitations. Links only work in website templates.
Simply follow these steps:
1️⃣ Copy the URL of your registry (Amazon, Target, MyRegistry, etc.)
2️⃣ Click on the button or text inside your Canva template
3️⃣ Click on the “Link” icon in the top toolbar
4️⃣ Paste your URL and press Enter
5️⃣ Publish or re-publish your website
Your guests will then be able to click directly on the button and access your registry instantly.
To replace a photo correctly in your Canva template, you must use the drag and drop method.
1️⃣ Upload your photo to Canva.
2️⃣ Click and hold your image.
3️⃣ Drag it directly onto the existing photo in the template.
Canva will automatically replace the photo inside the frame.
It will keep the correct size, position, and any existing animation.
1️⃣ Tap on the existing photo.
2️⃣ Click “Replace.”
3️⃣ Select your new image.
This ensures your photo fits properly into the frame and keeps the animation.
Using this method guarantees everything stays aligned and professional 😊
You can upload any MP3 file directly into your Canva design and add it to your video.
✅ Autoplay music is possible with a video (MP4) invitation.
❌ However, video invitations do NOT support clickable features such as:
RSVP (Google Form)
Google Maps links
Wishlist links
Live countdown timers
You can add music to your website invitation.
However, please note that Canva does not allow music to play automatically when the website opens. This is a current limitation of the Canva website editor and applies to all website invitations, not only mine.
🎵 To add music to your website invitation, you can link any YouTube song.
Your guests will simply click the “Play” button on your invitation to start the music.
If you would like to replace the existing song with your own link, please follow this short tutorial:
▶️ Click here to see how to change the existing song link
If your YouTube song link is not working properly, it may not have been embedded correctly. Please refer to the tutorial below for step-by-step instructions:
▶️ Click here to see how to embed your song properly
Don’t worry 😊
In the written tutorial included with your purchase, you will find a mockup music page that you can easily duplicate and add to your template.
It explains step by step how to:
Insert the music play button
Link any YouTube song correctly
To make sure your music is correctly embedded, click on Preview in Canva and test the “Play” button before sharing your invitation with your guests.

RSVP links can only be added in the website format (this is the only format that supports clickable links).

2️⃣ Click on “Open RSVP Template.”
This will automatically create a copy of the Google Form in your own Google account.

This is your responder link — you will add this link to your Canva website invitation.

3️⃣ Paste your Google Form responder link.
Your guests will click the button and be redirected to the form.
1️⃣ Go to Apps in Canva.
2️⃣ Search for “Embed.”
3️⃣ Paste your Google Form responder link.
Your form will appear directly inside your invitation page.
Please refer to the written tutorial included in your order to see all these steps in detail with screenshots.

⚠ Important — Rename Your Design
Do not forget to rename your Canva design. When you first open the template, it will appear as “Copy of …”
Please replace “Copy of” with your names.
The design name is important because the first line shown in the link preview (when you share your invitation) is your Canva design name.
Before publishing, make sure your design title is updated with your names. When your design is finished, you can then proceed to publish your website.
When your design is finished:
1️⃣ Click “Publish Website” in the top right corner of Canva.
Because this is a website invitation, Canva requires you to create a web address before publishing.
In the Website URL field:
• Type the name you want for your invitation link
(Example: emmaandlucas)
Canva will automatically generate your full link:
yourname.my.canva.site
✨ You can choose any available name — this will be the ending of your invitation link.
If Canva refuses the name, it means it’s already taken. Simply try another variation.
Before publishing:
1️⃣ Click “Settings”
2️⃣ Enable “Social Media Link Preview”
This ensures your first page image appears when you share your invitation link via text message, WhatsApp, or social media.
Without this option enabled, your link may appear without a preview image.
Once everything is ready:
Click “Publish Website” and wait a few moments while Canva prepares your design.
After publishing, Canva will display:
“Your website is now live 🎉”
You will see your full website link.
Copy this link — this is the final invitation link you will send to your guests.
✔ Send the link to yourself first to test it.
✔ Submit a test RSVP to confirm you can see responses in your Google Form.
Please refer to the written tutorial included in your order to see all these steps in detail with screenshots.
📖 Click here to see how to check your replies in Google Form
1️⃣ Open the Google Form you linked to your invitation.
2️⃣ Click on the “Responses” tab at the top of the form.
All replies will appear there.
You will see:
• The total number of responses
• A summary view (charts and graphs)
• Individual responses
If you prefer to see your replies in a spreadsheet:
1️⃣ Click the green “Link to Sheets” icon.
2️⃣ Click “Create.”
A Google Sheet will automatically be generated with all your responses.
You can sort, organize, and download your guest list there.
If you want to receive an email each time someone submits the form:
1️⃣ Open your Google Form.
2️⃣ Click the “Responses” tab.
3️⃣ Click the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner.
4️⃣ Select “Get email notifications for new responses.”
Once activated, you will receive an email notification every time a guest submits the RSVP.
✔ Make sure you are logged into the correct Google account.
✔ Submit a test RSVP to confirm everything is working properly.
Please refer to the written tutorial included in your order to see all these steps in detail with screenshots.
Don’t worry — this is usually very easy to fix 😊
Please open your Canva template and check the following:
• Make sure your background photo is properly set as a background. Click on the image, then click “Set image as background.”
• Your background must be one single image covering the entire page.
• No other elements should be placed behind or outside the background image.
While editing, all elements (text, photos, icons) must remain inside the central rectangle area to display correctly on mobile view.
Do not place any elements outside this area.
If elements extend beyond it, your phone preview may not display properly and your pages may appear smaller.
This central rectangle is the exact area visible on mobile phones.
Please make sure:
• All elements are placed inside the central rectangle.
• No text, images, or decorations extend outside this area.
⚠ Important: Even if your text looks centered, click on the text box and check that the text box borders are not extending outside the central rectangle.
If part of the text box extends outside this area, it can affect the mobile display.
After making adjustments:
• Click Preview
• Check both Desktop view and Phone view
This helps you confirm everything displays correctly before publishing.
Please also refer to the written tutorial included with your order, where I show with images how to correctly adjust the phone view.
If it still doesn’t work, you can send me your editable Canva link and I’ll gladly take a look for you 😊
This happens because the Canva design name was not changed before publishing.
When you first open the template, it automatically appears as “Copy of …”
The design name is important because it becomes the first line shown in the preview when you share your invitation link.
1️⃣ Go back to your Canva design.
2️⃣ Click on the design title at the top (where it says “Copy of …”).
3️⃣ Replace it with your names.
4️⃣ Click Republish Website.
After republishing, your updated design name will appear correctly.
Always make sure to rename your design before publishing to avoid this issue 😊
Yes 😊 You can continue editing your invitation even after it has been published.
However, after each modification, you must click “Republish Website” to update your published invitation.
If you do not republish, your guests will continue to see the previous version.
⚠ Important – Domain Name
Do not change the domain or subdomain name when republishing.
If you change it, Canva will create a new website link, and your previous invitation link will no longer be updated.
To keep the same link:
• Keep the same domain/subdomain name
• Simply click Republish Website
This ensures your existing invitation link remains active and updated.
Please note that Canva and Google Forms automatically save all your edits.
You do not need to click a “Save” button — your changes are saved in real time.
• Go to your Canva homepage — your design will appear there with all your recent modifications.
• For RSVP forms, log in to your Google account, open Google Forms, and you will find your form with all saved changes.
⚠ Important
Do not reopen the link from the original PDF to continue editing.
If you reopen the link from the PDF, you will access the original template again (without your edits).
Only use the original PDF link if you want to create a fresh copy and start over from the original template.
As long as you are logged into the correct account, your work is saved automatically.
Once your welcome book is fully edited:
1️⃣ Download it from Canva as a Standard PDF (this keeps all links clickable).
2️⃣ Save the PDF to your device.
You can then share it in several ways:
• Send it by email before your guests arrive
• Share it via WhatsApp or SMS
• Generate a QR code and display it inside your property
The QR code tutorial is included in your order if you’d like to print and display it.
Please note that Canva recently made an update: if your icons containing links are grouped together, the links may not work properly.
To fix this, simply:
1️⃣ Open your Canva design
2️⃣ Click on the linked icons
3️⃣ Select “Ungroup”
4️⃣ Then download your file again as PDF Standard
