The rifle team tryouts begin first couple weeks of school.

Tryouts will consist of multiple non-firing safety training days. The cadets will be trained in rifle and range safety; they will take a safety pledge; and will be administered a safety test which they must achieve a 100% before they may touch a Pellet Rifle.

Only 8 team members will be selected.

An order of merit list will be established for those cadets who are not among the first ten. Once a position opens, the next cadet on the list will join the team.

Cadets must compete in four shooting matches that consist of:, two Air Rifle shoulder to  shoulder matches and at two Virtual matches will earn a varsity team cord! Once a Team Member achieves the appropriate score, he/she will earn either a Marksmanship, Sharpshooter or Expert Badge.
