This Privacy Policy explains how **TeleDash** ("we," "our," or "the App") handles information. TeleDash is a dashboard application designed for Apple TV (tvOS).
We are committed to protecting your privacy. TeleDash is built with a **privacy-first** approach: we do not track you, we do not show advertisements, and we do not collect or store your personal data on any server.
## 1. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following personal information:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
- Your contacts, calendar events, or reminders.
- Any advertising identifiers (IDFA) or device tracking tokens.
## 2. Information Accessed and Processed
To provide the dashboard features, the App processes certain data in real-time. All processing is done client-side directly on your Apple TV, and data is only stored locally on your device.
### A. Approximate Location and Weather Data
- **How it works:** To display weather for your current area, the App uses your device's external IP address to fetch your approximate location (city, latitude, and longitude) using the public geolocation service **ipapi.co**.
- **Weather Fetching:** The App then sends these coordinates to **Open-Meteo** (api.open-meteo.com) to retrieve local weather conditions and daily forecasts.
- **Data Retention:** These requests are transient and made directly from your Apple TV to the APIs. We do not store your location or IP address, nor do we send it to any servers under our control.
### B. Financial Market Data
- **How it works:** When you configure your stock market ticker list, the App sends the requested stock symbols directly to the **Yahoo Finance API** (query1.finance.yahoo.com) to fetch real-time price quotes.
- **Data Retention:** No personal identification data, account credentials, or device details are attached to these financial requests.
### C. News Feed RSS
**How it works:** The news ticker fetches RSS headlines directly from the public feed URLs of news networks (such as BBC, The New York Times, CNN, CNBC, CBC, or Al Jazeera) depending on your selection in Settings.
**Data Retention:** These requests are direct network downloads from the news providers. No user tracking is performed by the App.
### D. Local Storage (App Preferences)
- User settings such as your active theme, clock format (12h/24h), calendar mode (compact/grid), custom stock list, and selected news source are stored locally on your Apple TV using **UserDefaults**.
- This data stays on your device and is never uploaded to any cloud storage or servers.
## 3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party API services to retrieve live weather, stock, and news content. These external services have their own privacy policies:
