All TEKSbank items are created in alignment with Texas standards by highly experienced Texas educators. 

New items are developed every year based on high-priority standards. Content experts conduct yearly audits to assess the quality of TEKSbank items. Priorities are determined using state assessment data to ensure educators have adequate items for assessing hard-to-teach, hard-to-learn standards. Our auditors look to ensure all standards have sufficient items that are tightly aligned to the standards in a variety of interaction types.

All items grades 2-5 (when applicable) have a translated, or transadapted, Spanish version in order to allow for equivalent assessments in dual language classrooms. Translations have been performed by experts and reviewed for accuracy and bias.
