This Privacy Policy describes how Mastero ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Mastero mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

### 2.1 Information You Provide

- **Account Information:** Name, email address, and profile photo when you register via email/password, Google, Apple, or Facebook Sign-In.

- **Skill & Practice Data:** Skills you create, practice session logs, timer recordings, focus and difficulty ratings, notes, and goals.

- **Profile Preferences:** App settings and notification preferences.

### 2.2 Information Collected Automatically

- **Usage Data:** Features used, screens viewed, session duration, and interaction patterns (via Firebase Analytics).

- **Device Information:** Device type, operating system version, and app version.

- **Crash Reports:** Technical diagnostic data when the app encounters errors.

- **Push Notification Tokens:** To deliver practice reminders and streak alerts.

### 2.3 Information from Third Parties

When you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) as permitted by those platforms and your privacy settings with them.

## 3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

- Create and manage your account

- Sync your skill and practice data across devices via Firebase

- Calculate XP, streaks, badges, and progress statistics

- Send practice reminders and achievement notifications

- Provide AI coaching insights based on your practice history

- Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features

- Comply with legal obligations

## 4. Data Storage and Sync

Your practice data is stored:

- **Locally** on your device using SQLite (Drift) for offline access

- **In the cloud** via Google Firebase (Firestore) when you are signed in and connected, enabling cross-device sync

Firebase services are operated by Google LLC and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

## 5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

- **Service Providers:** Firebase/Google (authentication, database, analytics, messaging) to operate the App.

- **Sign-In Providers:** Google, Apple, or Facebook, as necessary to authenticate your identity.

- **Legal Requirements:** If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.

- **Business Transfers:** If we merge with or are acquired by another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

## 6. Data Retention

We retain your account and practice data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data from our servers within 30 days. Locally stored data on your device is removed when you uninstall the App.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

- **Access** the personal data we hold about you

- **Correct** inaccurate or incomplete data

- **Delete** your account and associated data

- **Export** your practice data

- **Opt out** of analytics and marketing communications

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us personal information, we will delete it promptly.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase security rules to restrict data access, and secure authentication via established providers (Google, Apple, Facebook). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
