With a population of over 600 million, Southeast Asia is one of the fastest growing regions in the world. Despite this, ASEAN still faces many social, health & environmental challenges that impede its progress.
In this competition, all ASEAN youths help shape the future by harnessing data to highlight key issues in ASEAN. Data analytics is used to propose solutions that can make a difference to its people.
MIMMC is a team-based competition that offers experience and challenges that can enhance the participants’ intellectual capacity, knowledge and skills in solving problems using mathematical modelling.
In this course, techniques introduced in prerequisites courses are used to analyze models of environmental problems. These models are developed from first principles and the ramifications are analyzed using mathematical and numerical analysis.
This course discusses further the basics of calculus and introduces first order differential equations.
Topics: sequences and series of numbers, power series, improper integral, partial derivatives, double integrals, methods for solving first order differential equation and its applications.
