Taking inspiration from visionary experimental filmmaker Maya Deren (who once lived as a teen in Syracuse) we will use our creative freedom and imagination to explore themes such as "Defying Gravity" &"Overcoming the Impossible" that encourages teens, and all of us, to try our best not to give up and to strive to reach the stars. ★
The works created in this summer's workshop will contribute to a larger film that combines the diverse voices and visions of teen filmmakers into one feature-length piece — an exciting new experiment in cinematic co-creation!
