After you submit your application, we will review it and may bring you in for an interview. If you succeed in both the application and interview, we will ask you to plan your talk more extensively. This will mean beginning the research and writing your talk.
We will meet with you as frequently as we can (subject to how we can arrange meetings with students at JAGS) and correspond via email. We will ask you to provide draft powerpoints (if using) and script documents. You will have the Christmas holidays to create the first full draft and January to finalise it from our feedback. The event is on the 28th February.
We will have a dress rehersal sometime around the week before the February half term, giving you the half term to finalise any changes you wish to make from that rehersal.
We will fact and plagiarize check your talk, per the TEDx guidelines. Read the policy on AI use. Also take a look at the TEDx talk and content guidelines. This will give you a better idea of how TEDx works and whether your talk will be allowed.
For year 11s, who will be revising through Christmas, we can allow extra time to submit drafts however the final event deadline is, of course, fixed. Please make sure you can handle the workload.
