Rehearse and Deliver an awesome TED talk
INTRODUCTION: Every oral presentation ought to be practiced beforehand. Rehearse the introduction of your TED Talk using Flipgrid, and work together as a Team to help each other polish the three areas of expertise you chose to refine.
Then it will be time to officially present your TED Talk to the class! Talks will be recorded and uploaded to the District or school website for others to see your great work.
Finally, reflect on your learning in the Google Form at the bottom of this page after you've presented.
REHEARSAL:
Record yourself delivering the first 2 minutes of your TED talk on Flipgrid. (See button below.)
Then, give feedback to each member of your TED Team based on the three areas of expertise your Tribe chose to focus on.
Watch and apply the feedback your Team gives to you, too.
Learning Targets:
Orally present a distinct perspective on and well-researched answer to your self-generated research question.
Organize, develop, and deliver a 4-6 minute TED talk that is appropriate for the genre and audience (your peers and the district community.)
Success Criteria:
Does my TED talk answer a self-generated question with my distinct perspective and well-researched answer?
How much did I grow in the three areas that my Tribe chose to focus on from Talk Like TED?
Is my TED talk no shorter than 4 minutes and no longer than 6 minutes?
In class you'll share your TED Talk. We'll record the delivery and post it to the school district's webpage.
I will be using the gradesheet on the left to assess your talk. Please refer to the Learning Targets and Success Criteria below to guide you in your preparation.
REFLECT: After you've given your talk, use the form below to reflect on this process of learning about, writing, and delivering TED talks.
You did it! Great work!
