Alicia Sewell is an experienced leader passionate about enhancing learner performance and promoting educational growth. With a background in teaching, instructional coaching, and professional development, Alicia has successfully implemented strategies and programs that have significantly improved learner outcomes and parental engagement.

Building on her classroom success, Alicia has administered personalized educational assistance using the LEAP model, focusing on unique growth areas and learner requirements. Additionally, Alicia facilitated professional development sessions, providing valuable insights and support to educators on lesson planning, classroom management, and integrating technology into teaching methods.

Alicia's expertise has extended beyond the classroom when she became a Professional Development Specialist. She directed the implementation of technology-oriented professional development programs across multiple Midwest educational institutions, enhancing the use of technology in the classroom. By conducting comprehensive needs assessments, Alicia identified knowledge gaps and designed training programs that increased proficiency by 40%.

Alicia has conducted needs assessments to identify learner deficiencies, creating tailored training programs to address these gaps. She assessed the effectiveness of technology in virtual learning environments and proposed enhancements to improve instruction. Leveraging learner data and conducting virtual learning environment audits, Alicia developed action strategies to optimize teaching and learning.

Before her role as a Virtual Learning Specialist, Alicia served as an Instructional Technology Coach, where he initiated a successful social-emotional learning program that improved academic and social-emotional performance. Collaborating with internal groups, Alicia designed engaging training curriculums aligned with organizational goals. Through feedback loops and technological tools, Alicia evaluated the efficacy of these programs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. She also guided a team of educators in adopting better instructional practices and enhancing learner outcomes.

Alicia is working toward a Doctor of Education degree in Educational and Organizational Leadership from Samford University. She has earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Technology from Boise State University, a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama. She also holds a certification in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Alabama and is earning a certification in Social-Emotional Learning and Character Education Leadership from Rutgers University.
