An easy-to-use, cross-platform tool that is accessible to all students, where students can design anything, uploading their own images and the myriad of graphics, gifs, and fonts at their disposal to create personalized projects (Canva for Education, 2021). Canva empowers student voice and choice with simple drag-and-drop technology, helping students become empowered learners, innovative designers, creative communicators, and global collaborators, preparing students to meet many of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for Students (2021). Group collaboration and sharing of projects, expressing creativity and individual style through infographics, and inviting others to view and collaborate on their work using unique URLs assigned in Canva (Canva for Education, 2021).

Canva is COPPA and FERPA compliant to provide peace of mind for educators and parents, with the agreement an educator will only permit students to use their Canva for Education account for educational purposes and upon personal invite and supervision by the teacher. There is no software to download or apps to purchase. Everything is accessible through their website. There are over 420,000 templates, 3,000 fonts, and over 75 million Stock Media, videos and graphics which are freely accessible for school projects under Canva’s Free Images License Agreement terms (Canva for Education, 2021).
