SETI Research
SETI Research
This is my original SETI research here:
http://setilinguistics.blogspot.com
The best way to verify the SETI signal I discovered is to analyze the nonrandom messages in these two paperback books. The messages are distributed vertically down the leftmost and the rightmost characters of each line of text on a given book page. See, the setilinguistics blogspot.
Code containing data is in the original paperback editions. Not kindle, PDF, or audio.
1. It Doesn't Take A Hero, by H Norman Schwarzkopf
2. Dreamcatcher, by Stephen King
In my opinion, the SETI signals in the Schwarzkopf book are more interesting than the signals in the Stephen King Dreamcatcher book.
However, it probably requires human pattern recognition to discern the messages in the HNS book. Humans should be able to spot at a glance the SETI messages in the HNS book.
ML using a data clustering algorithm (DBSCAN) should be able to find the messages in the paperback Stephen King Dreamcatcher book.
I can seeeasily, at a glance, a large number of SETI signals in both books.
SETI Nuggets Think Tank
Some of my SETI research is available in my website: SETI Nuggets.
SETI Nuggets is a privately held science think tank that publishes original research and opinions on the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. A principle of the SETI Nuggets think tank is that SETI research requires intelligence and creativity regarding scientific paradigms.
SETI Nuggets think tank founded: October 4, 2019
Verify a SETI Signal
The easy case could occur if the signal or LGM said in perfect English: Take me to your leader. A difficult case would be detecting a signal that's close to random noise.
Another possibility is a SETI signal can be sent combined in layers. Layer 0 may be unencrypted. Layer 1 for example could be encrypted using AES 256-bit encryption. Layer 2 may be coded so only a quantum computer can decode that layer. Additional layers may be encrypted with methods only susceptible to decoding with technology an advanced civilization, or segment, could develop.
If the public at large examines a signal at Layer 0 the verification will be out of the hands of those who may, or may not, be against verifying the existence of a SETI signal that was not discovered by them
Here are excerpts from the "SETI Detection Protocol":
"A confirmed detection of extraterrestrial intelligence should be disseminated promptly, openly, and widely through scientific channels and public media, observing the procedures in this declaration. The discoverer should have the privilege of making the first public announcement."
All data necessary for confirmation of detection should be made available to the international scientific community.
