About Technetium

It's Elemental, Baby!

What is Technetium? She’s #43 on the periodic table and the first element ever produced artificially. Every single one of her isotopes is 100% radioactive—and coming soon to a sound system near you!

Technetium's Official Stats & Bio

Symbol: Tc (Because "Toxic" was taken and "Too Cute" was redundant).

Atomic Number: 43 (Right in the middle of the table, but refusing to blend in).

Atomic Weight: 98 (Pure mass, zero filler).

Boiling Point: 4877°C (Hotter than the surface of the sun—do not approach without a cooling system).

Year Discovered: 1937 (Don't ask a lady her age; just know I’ve been glowing since before your grandparents were raving).

Appearance: Silvery-gray, sleek, and highly reactive to moisture. (In other words: do NOT get me wet, or I will oxidize and ruin the vibe).

Vibe: 100%. Nature couldn't handle this much energy, so scientists had to build me in a lab.

Literally a heavy metal, but I prefer high-BPM synth lines. Half-life? More like full-time vibe. They use me in hospitals to trace heartbeats, but I’m only here to elevate your pulse.

Peace, love, & high-voltage bass. See you in the lights!

Love Technetium

Lorilee Technetium is widely regarded as one of the original pioneers of trance fusion, a genre that blends the hypnotic repetition of electronic trance with the expressive freedom of live instrumentation and cross-cultural sound design. Emerging during the formative years when electronic music was still carving out its identity, Technetium helped shape a sound that blurred the boundaries between club culture, experimental composition, and spiritual rhythm.
Known for pushing technology beyond its expected limits, Lorilee Technetium integrated early synthesizers, sequencers, and evolving digital tools with organic elements such as live percussion, melodic improvisation, and layered textures. This fusion created immersive sonic environments that emphasized flow, transcendence, and emotional resonance rather than rigid song structures. Her work laid groundwork for what would later influence psytrance, ambient fusion, and hybrid electronic performance styles.
Beyond innovation in sound, Technetium was recognized for her forward-thinking approach to live performance. At a time when electronic music was often static or studio-bound, she emphasized movement, interaction, and real-time manipulation, helping redefine how trance-based music could be experienced in both intimate and large-scale settings.
Lorilee Technetium’s influence continues to echo through contemporary trance fusion artists and experimental electronic musicians who value genre fluidity and immersive storytelling. As an early architect of the movement, her legacy stands not only in recordings and performances, but in the creative freedom she helped unlock for generations of artists exploring the space between technology and human expression.
