Team 2054 from Hopkins, MI, USA competes globally in the FIRST Robotics Competitions (FRC) each year. Started in 2007, the team has grown from rapidly and now includes a FIRST Lego League (FLL) team and two FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams. Our purpose is to continue to grow, improve and primarily, inspire students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math!
It's not about the robots.
That's right, we're a robotics team that designs, builds and competes in a robotics competition, but it's not about robotics. The focus of Tech Vikes Team 2054 and FIRST is to inspire students to learn about science and technology. In doing so, we also create a community of like minded people, that provide for our community and foster teamwork among the students.

Our FIRST family in Hopkins includes one Lego League team 4747 and two Tech Challenge teams 5980 and 6283.
We are happy to share our website with the FTC teams to show off some of their hard work and accomplishments!
All of the teams in the Hopkins FIRST robotics family proudly feature student-only drive teams with student coaches.
Team 2054 has had many successful years and a few not so great ones, but regardless of the challenge, the team grew both in numbers and in knowledge. Every team member has graduated high school and the majority have received or are pursuing secondary degrees in STEM fields.
