The primary colors in Little Mexico are azure blue and cherry red. Buildings in Little Mexico, as in Chinatown, are two or three stories tall and use forced perspective to appear even taller (the first story is 9/10 scale, the second story is 5/8 scale, and the third is 1/2.) Structures are made with materials chosen for their resemblance to adobe and brick. Mexican Bird of Paradise trees are used in planters in the sidewalk, spaced every couple of store widths.

There are wooden benches near the bandstand and the restrooms (which are near the arcade walkway). Signs are primarily written in English, as with Chinatown, but some signs are written in Spanish.

The trash bins are metallic, with push-in flaps and the Little Mexico logo on the bodies.
