Musicians, Parades & More

Chinatown Street Entertainment

Musicians playing traditional Chinese instruments (like the erhu seen above) have many short performances throughout the day in Chinatown.

Little Mexico Street Entertainment

A mariachi band (muted so that guests don't have to shout over them) performs multiple times per day (times vary and do not conflict with parades and Main Street entertainment) in the Bandstand of Little Mexico. On weekends and other busy days, Mexican dancers perform folkloric dances (including ones involving tap shoes and full costumes.)

Main Street Parades

Two cultural additions will march through the streets of Disneyland; a Chinatown float and a Little Mexico assembly will join the other Disney floats in Main Street parades.

Chinatown

The Chinatown float has a large traditional dragon lantern that lights up the street! The dragon has a tendency to get a tad lonely, so a family of baby giant panda lanterns accompanies him on his journeys! The pandas are definitely a hungry bunch, so bamboo lanterns are sprinkled across the float.

Little Mexico

The Little Mexico parade contribution is a dance ensemble of five couples dressed up in the traditional Mexican attire seen below, marching alongside the other floats. There are some special parades on Mexican holidays such as Día de los Muertos and Cinco de Mayo, in which Mexican parade floats and traditional dances take center stage.
