Team PARANOIC was founded in 2006 after departing from our main organization, EUnet, due to a lack of support for our Youth Academy and insufficient investment in the team. Determined to build something of our own, we created a dedicated Call of Duty 2 roster and began our journey under the name Team PARANOIC.
The name itself carries our story. We were told that without EUnet we would never succeed—that we were incompatible kids who didn’t understand what it meant to be a real esports team. We embraced that doubt and turned it into motivation. PARANOIC became our statement: proof that we could build success on our own terms.
From November 2006, we actively competed in Call of Duty 2 skirmishes, leagues, and tournaments across platforms such as ClanBase, ESL, EuroDomination, Cybergamer, and various Euro Cups and World Cups. Within just a few months, we achieved multiple tournament wins and placed among the top 50 teams on several leaderboards.
The project was founded by the team captain at the time, Mlađan "MaKiDaNcEr” Ćurčić known as Mbrain1987, alongside Nastyyboi, Dzukac, Zlocko, and Asterix. Over the following two years, the roster evolved as players explored other titles and opportunities. As esports progressed, we transitioned into Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, marking a new chapter in the team’s development.
During this era, new talents joined the organization, including Darko “Bmzye” Avramov, who became one of the team’s leaders and captains and is now the owner of Team PARANOIC. Another notable and loyal member is Nemanja “1mm0r7al” Kostić, who remains part of the PARANOIC family to this day.
Our roots are built on resilience, belief, and passion for competition—and that same spirit drives our return to esports today.
After one year of consistent competition, Team PARANOIC began climbing the leaderboards on ClanBase, ESL, and EuroDomination, alongside strong results in tournaments and local competitions, where we often finished as finalists and winners. As matches became longer and competition more demanding, the pressure of operating as a professional team began to show. This period marked the beginning of our transition from Call of Duty 2 to the newly released Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
At the time, Call of Duty 4 had no established competitive mod, unlike Call of Duty 2 with its PAM4 mod, making early competitions both chaotic and fun. When the first competitive Pro Mod arrived, the team was divided on the direction forward. This led to a split into two active divisions: the CoD2 roster led by Nastyyboi and Zlocko, and the CoD4 roster led by Mbrain1987, Bmzye and 1mm0r7al. The CoD4 division quickly brought wider recognition, expanding our presence from the local scene to the international stage.
Over the following two years, both divisions achieved strong results, and our players went on to represent the Serbian National Team in Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4. This growth pushed us to reorganize and officially become a multigaming organization — the first of its kind in the Balkan region. At our peak, Team PARANOIC fielded 12 squads with over 70 active players and more than 10 staff members across titles including Quake Live, MotoGP, Trackmania, FIFA, CS:S, CS:GO, Dota 2, LoL, WoW, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4, and Call of Duty 5.
Our most notable achievement came in Quake Live, where our TDM and CTF squads won the ClanBase World Cup, with the same roster also securing the ClanBase Nations World Cup title.
After a highly successful period from 2008 to 2011, we gradually stepped away from top-level competition and entered a more relaxed phase, marking the beginning of the final chapter of that era — what we now remember as the Last Call of Team PARANOIC.
Between 2012 and 2014, Team PARANOIC remained active, but no longer as a full-time competitive organization. Our focus shifted toward a more casual approach, with players participating for fun, supporting team management, and occasionally stepping in as substitutes across multiple titles, including Dota 2, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, and Heroes of the Storm. As being part of the team as Managers our aim during this period for new Dota2 players, was to reach respectable leaderboard positions on platforms such as ESL and Starladder. While we made several attempts to qualify for higher-tier competitions, none resulted in long-term recognition.
During this phase, new players joined the organization and remained part of the PARANOIC family to this day, including Lazar “w3DanceGj” Dabić, a promising prospect in Dota 2. Team leadership was handled by Bmzye as manager, with w3DanceGj serving as team captain.
We also fielded a CS:GO roster, where several players showed strong commitment toward building a reliable and competitive team. As our activity in that scene declined, we made the decision to transfer this roster to High Fives, to give the players a better chance to grow and achieve success within a more active competitive environment.
By the end of 2014, activity had slowed significantly. We made the decision to preserve the Team PARANOIC name without active promotion or recruitment. From 2015 to 2020, several unaffiliated teams and individuals attempted to use the PARANOIC name and brand, even claiming ownership. None of these efforts were official or successful.
After more than a decade of absence from top-level competition, we have decided to return to the eSports stage.
This is our Last Call.
Team PARANOIC is reassembled.
