Overview
This documentation plan outlines all the resources provided to the client (Emily Przykucki) as part of the RespiLens project handoff. The goal is to ensure the client can seamlessly manage, update, and understand the recent UI/UX and architectural improvements made to the platform.
User Profiles
1. The Client/Administrator: Responsible for managing the RespiLens repository after handoff, handling data integrations, and overseeing deployment. The documentation assumes a baseline comfort level with web development environments (Node.js/npm), Git, and Python for the data processing pipeline.
2. Public-facing/end users: General users interacting with the "weather-style" interface we developed on the RespiLens web app. Documentation for this group is integrated directly into the UI via intuitive design and consistent navigation, alongside helpful informational pop outs.
Documentation Deliverables
Setup and development guide are present on the Github README, covering technical prerequisites and local development flows for running the system locally.
We provide a detailed summary of the UI changes made through our work including the selector logic and sidebar, alongside any bug fixes. We explain the what and why behind each change to showcase how our changes contribute to user-centric interactions across the platform.

Architectural Overview
Documentation Structure
The administrator documentation will include:
Environment Setup: Clear instructions for deploying locally and handling dependencies.
Deployment Instructions: Steps for updating the live site hosted on GitHub Pages.
Architecture & Data Mapping: An explanation of the current indexing system for locations and how to manage the interaction between dataset types (Metrocast vs. State-level).
Maintenance: Guidance on how to push future updates directly to the GitHub repository.
User documentation will include:
In-App Navigation: The UI itself serves as the primary documentation, utilizing improved labeling and grouping to make respiratory forecasts intuitive.
Feature Highlights: Tooltips or small informational blocks explaining "weather-style" forecast data points for transparency.
This documentation will be packaged with the final codebase deliverable. The structure will be modular, prioritizing immediate "how-to" information for local setup. We will include deeper architectural context available for long-term maintenance.
