The Team

Overview

In this project, our team was tasked with designing and building a mechanized arm that can grab an intuitive payload, designed for ease of grabbing, moving it from one platform to another.

Phase 1

This phase consisted of discussing as a group what we wanted the payload to be as well as adhering to constraints.

Phase 2

This phase was focused on making the "arm" of the mechanism we will use to hold the payload.

Phase 3

This phase we designed the arm that used servo motors to lift the payload off of the platform.

Phase 4

The final phase is on the "shoulder" of the arm used to pick up the payload so it can be moved from one place to another.

Our team consisted of Moshier Rawy, Brenden Prefer, and Emma Redmond. We all contributed equally to the project and brought our own unique skills ot the project. Emma excelled when it came to MATLAB and coding while Brenden and Moshier took on a lot of the SolidWorks parts and assemblies to this project. We all helped each other get better and worked well together to accomplish the task of a functional Mechanized Arm Project.
