Our Mission

Monte Vista High School is the home of The Red Tie Robotics (Team 1458). As a robotics team, and as a part of FIRST organization, we create robots and compete against the various teams and schools within the organization. Every year, we build a robot from scratch in order to participate in competitions. Attending competitions alone is thousands of dollars, and the cost of the robot is much higher, making the average year cost over $15,000. Donating to Red Tie Robotics would help the current 60+ students and the future students of Team 1458 by granting them access to the experience of a lifetime.
