Over Zoom, Team 13190 had the opportunity to talk to Dr. Vijay Kumar, the Dean of Engineering at the GRASP lab at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a board member of one of sponsors, O2 Micro. Dan introduced us to Vijay. At the University of Pennsylvania, he worked on aerial robots, improving their computing performance while trying to keep them at a smaller form factor. He described robotics as an interdisciplinary field, with required expertise in computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering.
