Sitting on the left-hand side of the Victorian mansion that holds the Hidden Side attraction, guests can see a large greenhouse. It has seen better days, its windows obscured and hard to look through while the metal framing is rusted from time. The entrance gate sits ready to be opened, with a painting overhead depicting a Lego skeleton with chef’s hat smirking as a spatula and spoon cross each other beneath the face. It gives the effect of a culinary spin of the classic skull and crossbones, along with a name newly fixed over the gate: THE BOO-STRO.
Stepping inside, guests find what had once been a gardening center. Those days are gone, considering the walls have faded in this main chamber and most of the flowers have wilted (besides a large Venus Fly Trap that periodically opens and closes its jaws). However, this chamber has found some new “life”, as tables have been set up among the various vases and former flowerbeds. Though most of it is tables, there is also a juice bar that has been set up for guests only looking for a quick refreshment. Faded pictures of a chef hang on the walls and notes from J.B. are scattered around. Guests paying attention to her notes can find a story of a French chef’s ghost who has taken up a new home in the greenhouse, turning the once-dead building into a lively restaurant.
(Reference for Venus Fly Trap)
It is not only notes that have been left by J.B., though. Resting on each table is a green and purple computer tablet that appears to be fixed into it, known as the Spectral Analyzer. Using touchpad technology, guests are able to “summon” a ghost through the Analyzer, customizing and designing their very own spirit. Once a guest likes the ghost they have designed, they just press a button and the ghost is “summoned”, releasing them from the Analyzer. The actual effect is that, for riders of the Hidden Side attraction, they will see the ghost rising up along the higher windows (actually screens) of the greenhouse. It makes for a fun activity for kids waiting for their food, along with allowing them to interact with the neighboring ride.
In addition, there are two main eating areas. There is the central chamber, which guests first enter. There is also a patio area that lines a collection of one-way windows overlooking a graveyard. In truth, it is the graveyard scene from The Ghosts of Hidden Side. So, diners in this portion of the restaurant can see riders as they pass by.
