A classic game from the mid-80's, Sega's OutRun integrates into Digital Frontiers perfectly.
The facade/loading area of the ride is themed to an '80s retro car garage. Guests enter it through large open garage doors. They then wind around the garage before heading into the back alley that serves as the dual load/unload area.
Guests step into their open-top Ferraris and prepare to hit the road!
For safety reasons, the cars are on a track much like Autopia, but they also go faster (you can't have a Ferrari just going Autopia car speed.)
Guests leave the loading station to grid-based roads. Minor projection effects are used here, based on the PeopleMover Thru The World Of Tron at Disneyland.
Guests continue on further with this aesthetic, passing trees and seeing a small city design in the background that is the entrance to the Frogger queue.
Eventually, guests pull around the corner from the back area with mountains into a wide open area. The visuals transition from the vaporwave of the back to the open waters ahead.
This area weaves in and out with the Frogger Log Flume (think Autopia over the Submarine Lagoon at Disneyland.) This allows guests to interact between the two rides, and it gives them a new view of the lagoon. The combination of these two attractions into the same area saves valuable space in the land.
OutRun gives guests a semi-fast tour of the Digital Frontiers, and a fun experience they'll love.
