After completing "A Silent Voice" in 2021, a year passed, and I hadn't finished another painting...
I deleted my social media accounts during this time. Posting my finished work began to feel like the main goal rather than enjoying the process of creation. This marketing mindset consumed me, and I felt dread every time I picked up a paintbrush. I constantly asked myself, will this piece sell? Will this piece of art look good in my feed? Will they like it? Social media drove this burdening feeling of not being good enough, and I felt that if I did not utilize technology to sell and share my work, then I would not be successful. Ultimately, I no longer enjoyed what I was doing. Taking time away from social media helped me restore my relationship with art. I am now very excited to be back and sharing what I love, my past and future accomplishments, and my upcoming projects!
"Finally Free" is the first painting I completed after taking a break and symbolizes my newly established connection with my art.
