About Me

I am a growth oriented arts educator who strives to engage students from all backgrounds. My goal as both a teacher and a person is to provide others with the opportunity to explore what exactly art can do for them.

Art has always been an essential part of my life. As an elementary schooler, I would doodle and write in a journal every day as a way of processing the world around me. As an awkward high school student, I used my high school art space as a place to connect with peers and explore my own identity. In college, I learned how to appreciate and understand other artists’ work. Now, as an educator, I have the privilege of guiding students through their own relationships with art, as well as encouraging them to grow as artists and community members. 

As a maker, I have worked hard to incorporate a variety of media into my life such as drawing, ceramics, painting, metals, printmaking, the Adobe suite, and photography. This allows me to share tons of different types of knowledge with my students! I encourage you to browse this site and see what my students and I have made.
