Summary

The TNE Delivery Peer Learning Circle (PLC) is exploring how we can enhance offshore delivery practices and enrich learning and teaching approaches. Comprising members from diverse academic backgrounds, the PLC leverages extensive experience with mature program partnerships to foster excellence in international education.

The PLC comprises dedicated members from diverse academic backgrounds, including Erin Roehrer from the International School, Matthew Springer from the School of ICT, Gemma Lewis from the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics, Lyndal Mellefont from the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture and Sarah Lyden from the School of Engineering.

The University of Tasmania has established long-standing transnational education partnerships with some of these spanning over 20 years. These partnerships have enabled thousands of students to complete their University of Tasmania studies offshore.

The PLC has been reviewing opportunities and challenges associated with offshore/TNE delivery: identifying, and sharing best practices and strategies to harness opportunities and address challenges effectively; and looking at ways to translate these insights into wider university practices - with the aim of enriching the University’s approach to international education.

This PLC contributes to the ongoing dialogue on student focused international education, thus positioning the University of Tasmania at the forefront of advancing offshore program delivery.
