The spring school is offered in-person only and open to a wide audience including Bachelor, Master, PhD students, language practitioners and general public. During some on site slots, two sessions will be running in parallel. Please take a look through the programme beforehand. The capacity of on site parallel sessions is limited to 20 participants per session. In the registration form, we will ask you to specify the sessions you would like to attend. Be quick to book the sessions that interest you most!
We encourage prospective spring school participants (particularly language practitioners and trainee teachers) to present their own ways of implementing sustainability in their regular teaching practice by sharing short demos of their teaching materials (poster or hands-on materials) during the Learning Resources Fair on the second day of the spring school.
The sessions will be held either in English or in German. The working language will be specified separately for each session.
To get registered for the spring school, please fill in the registration form. Registration will close on the first of February, 2026. In case you need a visa to Germany, be sure to register in advance, since visa application process may take quite a time.
Attendance is free of charge. There is no registration fee!
Your participation will be confirmed as soon as possible upon receipt of your registration data. Since we can only admit a limited number of participants, those who are not accepted in the first round will be put on the waiting list. In case some of the confirmed applicants might cancel their participation, the candidates from the waiting list will be offered a vacant slot.
We warmly invite all participants to join us for a guided city tour through Braunschweig and a free conference dinner on Day 2. The tour will take place after the final session and will end at the restaurant Nah am Wasser (Leonhardstraße 2). This informal evening program offers a chance to explore the city and connect with fellow participants.
The best way to get to Braunschweig from outside Europe is by plane. The nearest international airport is located in Hannover. A regional train (WFB) as well as an Intercity Express (IC) commute between Hannover and Braunschweig at regular intervals. The trip takes around 40 minutes and costs 14 to 20 €, depending on the departure time and the train type. You can purchase the ticket in advance from the official German railways website (https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml) or from the ticket machine at the railway station. Tickets are usually cheaper if booked in advance.
