What is Professional Devolpment ?
Professional development is a way for individuals and teams to expand and/or deepen their skills as educators. Professional development (sometimes abbreviated as PD) generally refers to formal classes, seminars, and workshops. These can involve learning new teaching techniques and methodology based on emerging research, as well as strategies for implementation. However, professional development can also focus on general skills, such as interpersonal communication, or corollary subject areas, such as child psychology

Important information about Professional DEVELOPMENTS for Spring 2024
This semester, the society is proud to announce that the majority of our PDs will be in person. We are still offering a few online via Teams, for those unable to make the in-person sessions, but we hope to see you!
Two PD credits will be required for each teachHOUSTON class and each PD will count as 1 credit.
To receive credit for attending each PD, be sure to actively participate in them, and submit the reflection form at the end!
