Ray Bradbury Mini Research Project (7-8th Grade)

Description: In this informational text lesson plan, students will be asked to become journalists to help complete a research notebook for The Boss. This lesson includes 3 infographics, 2 newspaper excerpts, 2 external websites to gather information, 1 YouTube video on technology, and a 4 question short answer vocabulary quiz. Made for at least two 90 minute block, or four 45 minute blocks.

Hatchet- Book Review

Description: After finishing the book Hatchet, the students completed a book review! The first part of the project is factual, they have to recall information about the characters, setting, and plot.

The last section is where they will provide a rating and commentary!

The students had a lot of fun choosing "actors" based on their interests and humor (anime characters, cartoon characters, pictures of me from Google, etc.)
