Feedback Literacy: Strategies
To help increase skills within feedback literacy, teachers should use the following strategies:
Discuss feedback literacy in the classroom
Model receiving feedback in a public setting
Designate a requirement for students to ask for feedback
At the bottom of the assignment, insert a table where students can add their requested feedback.
Have open discussions with your students where you model asking for specific feedback

Students may need additional support or accommodations when learning the skills of feedback literacy. It's important to observe students learning these skills and provide them with support based on their areas of need. Some accommodations could include:
Request Inspiration: Providing sentence starters, key words, or ideas when requesting feedback until they become more comfortable
Other Feedback: Practice feedback literacy in other areas aside from academics
1-1-1: Get students in the habit of looking at given feedback & asking one question, giving one reaction, and determining one action step
