Meet our Partners

Mary Kerber, SSND

Sr. Mary Kerber is a School Sister of Notre Dame, originally from Minnesota. She has worked in Africa for 31 years, living in Kenya and Ghana, and is a member of the SSND Province of Africa. During her time in Africa she taught high school, trained teachers as pastoral workers and chaplains in high schools, served as a Postulant Director, taught in seminaries and in the Institute of Social Ministry and the Institute of Spirituality and Religious Formation of Tangaza University College in Nairobi, worked with women refugees in Nairobi, and gave days of recollection and workshops to various religious communities in Africa. From 2007 to 2015, she served in SSND leadership for the District, and then the Province of Africa. Her BA is from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, WI (majors in Religious Education and Sociology), her MTS is from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago (Concentration in World Mission), and her DMin is from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley (Concentration in Spirituality). Between 2017-2020 she served as the Director of Campus Ministry and Service and then Associate Vice President for Mission in Ministry at Notre Dame of Maryland University. In July 2020, she moved back to her home state and is now the Coordinator of Pastoral Ministry at St. Therese of Woodbury Senior Living.

Beth Ann Tek, PhD.

Beth has a diverse background as a statistical consultant, program evaluator, and applied researcher in pK-20 education and nonprofit settings. She has extensive experience working with leaders, educators, policymakers, and funders at the national, state, district, and local levels. Her knowledge of education systems and approaches includes public, charter, religious, and independent. Beth is a senior fellow of the Community of Practice at the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard University. She received this fellowship for her many contributions to applying and measuring human flourishing in education settings.
