Parent Helper Duties (updated 2025-2026)
This year, we will need two parent helpers each week. One will be a floater and the other will be a PE Helper. There will be a sign-up sheet available the week before TEACH begins. Please do not sign up for the first week if you are a new parent or if you are still waiting for security clearances.
PE Helper
Since our PE teachers, Jesse Davis and Brayden Harper, are still in high school, we will have one parent helper in PE class at all times. The PE helper will arrive no later than 12:40. Here are your duties:
Help Jessi welcome students into the Welcome Center
Escort K-4 children to and from restrooms (students in gym class should always use gym restrooms) Please watch that no child goes out the main gymnasium door (near the restrooms) that lead outside. There is no inside lock.
Your main purpose is discipline; deal with behavioral issues, so Coach Jesse and Coach Brayden are free to conduct the class. Follow these guidelines when addressing a misbehaving child:
1st time: Speak to a child and address the issue
2nd time: Have child sit out of game/activity for time you deem appropriate (1 min, 3 min, 5 min)
3rd time: Send child to Miss Jessi in the Welcome Center, and she will take over the discipline.
If a child is disruptive, e.g., screaming, throwing a tantrum, or being too physically rough, they should be removed from class immediately
When PE class is over, line up students in the gym for the floating Parent Helper to receive them and lead them to their next class. Receive the next class into the gym. Repeat this for the 2-4 class for 2nd period and the 5-8 class for 3rd/last period.

Floater
The floater will also arrive no later than 12:40. Here are your duties.
If needed, walk K-1 children from the Welcome Center to the Gym for first period
Escort K-4 children to and from bathrooms for art and music.
Facilitate class exchange: Keep children in line until their next period teacher is ready for them.
Bring water bottle carriers to the gym or have children carry them. Also, bring them to the welcome center after TEACH is over.
Take pictures in each class and text to Miss Michelle at 484-574-3410.
Help out with injuries or behavioral issues if Jessi is not in the Welcome Center.
