We are a non-profit 501C3 organization providing an opportunity for about 600-800 kids grades K-6th in Tioga County, NY to enjoy recreational soccer every fall.

TCYSA is run entirely by volunteers. These volunteers are former soccer players and coaches, parents and grandparents of soccer players, or community members who just like soccer!

The main goal of TCYSA is to develop soccer skills, good sportsmanship, and have FUN! Our league does not keep track of scores or rankings.

Since TCYSA is run entirely on volunteers, it is EXTREMELY important that parents of current players step up and volunteer to help out in one way or another. There are many different ways to  help our organization- coaching, clerical tasks, field set up/maintenance and more.

TCYSA services Tioga County New York and surrounding communities including but not limited to: 

Apalachin, Owego, Newark Valley, Tioga/Nichols, Spencer/Van Etten, and Candor. 

We try not to turn players away and have allowed kids from neighboring towns to register and play.

We provide rec soccer for Tioga County kids. This involves publicity, registering kids, forming teams, insuring the players, getting sponsors, collecting sponsor money, getting coaches, ordering uniforms, laying out fields, lining fields over the season, handling any crises that come up (think FLOOD!!), collecting equipment at the end of the season, etc.

Believe it or not, it’s often a lot of fun and a very satisfying feeling when the season comes together and you see the kids out playing and having fun. But, without help, it is a LOT of work for employed parents – especially laying out fields. Pls. think about what you could help with and volunteer to your Player Agent.
